About Sam

Sam is currently People Director at NatWest Group, having started her career with Sainsbury’s, she joined the Group as part of the Churchill Insurance acquisition. Prior to her current role, Sam has held senior HR roles across all areas of the Bank, including Insurance, Retail, Wealth, Business, Commercial, Investment Banking and Functions. In addition, Sam has led the One Bank Learning and Development Centre of Excellence and the Bank wide approach to moving to Hybrid Working.

In her current role, Sam partners Retail, Wealth, Ulster, Payments and NatWest Boxed. Functionally, Sam leads on People Strategy, Business and Future Workforce Transformation, Colleague Listening and Insights and is co leading work on High Performance Culture.

Sam graduated in Economics and Management studies and is a Fellow of the CIPD. Sam is married to Andy and they have 2 daughters, Phoebe and Jessica. Sam has been a Trustee at Kids since 2017 and became Vice Chair in January 2024.
