Kids Say We Can: Autism Acceptance Month

Celebrate Autism Acceptance Month with our “Kids Say We Can” campaign. Support, include, and empower autistic children and young people.

April is Autism Acceptance Month – a time to recognise and celebrate the strengths, experiences, and voices of autistic children and young people. It’s more than just awareness; it’s about understanding, embracing differences, and ensuring every autistic child feels seen, heard, and valued.

At Kids, we believe that every child deserves to be supported and included. That’s why we’re launching the “Kids Say We Can” campaign, amplifying autistic voices and sharing ways we can all make a difference.

Kids Say We Can

Understand – by learning about autism and the different ways people experience the world.

Support – by taking meaningful steps to offer support and practical help.

Include – by creating inclusive environments where autistic children and young people feel valued.

Be heard – by amplifying the voices of autistic children and young people.

Unite – by working together to make real change.

Empower – by providing autistic children and their families with the tools and confidence to thrive.

Together, we can build a more inclusive and understanding world – together. #KidsSayWeCan

We can understand

Autism guide

Our autism guide is a great place to start – it explains what autism is, explores how autistic people may experience the world, the diagnosis process, and practical strategies to support autistic individuals.

We can empower

Young People’s Hub

Our Young People’s Hub is a space designed specifically for young people with SEND (aged 13-25). It’s packed with helpful information about autism, from self-advocacy tips to practical resources that help young people navigate life in a way that works for them.

Autistic young people deserve to be equipped with knowledge, confidence, and the right support to make informed choices about their future – and we’re here to help them do just that.

We can be heard

The Collective

Every young person deserves to be heard – especially when decisions are being made about their lives.

The Kids Participation Collective brings together young people aged 13-25 with SEND to share their thoughts, connect with others, and shape the future. It’s a space where every voice matters, and real change begins. Together, we can unite!
