Tammy’s story

Our four year old daughter has been attending Kids for close to a year now and we cannot be happier! Kids was mentioned to us by her paediatrician during her assessment for Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and without wasting time, we got in touch with the nursery to find out if they had any space. The rest, as they say, is history.

Like any parent, we were not sure to begin with but after getting in touch with another parent whose child also has ASD and attends Kids, our minds were eased – this parent had only great things to say about Kids and their amazing staff. We knew we had a winner when from her stay and play sessions, it felt like our daughter had been attending the nursery all along. Jane and all the staff at Kids Basingstoke are phenomenal humans and such a huge blessing.

Within a few months of joining, they set the ball rolling for our daughter’s EHCP, making the whole process smooth sailing for us. I have to mention here that we deeply appreciate this as we would have had no clue where to begin had we not had this help.

Our daughter loves the nursery so much and is thriving. Her progress and development is as important to Kids staff as it is to us and we do not feel alone, which is a huge thing for us.

Having access to many different learning and play items to aid her sensory needs is something our daughter definitely loves. More importantly, she is happy and she is progressing. We have gone from not being sure if she’s ready to start school to now being sure she is ready and will do well.

In more ways than one, we have found the staff at Kids extra supportive, always ready with a listening ear, patient, kind, thoughtful and always ready with an approach to make the load lighter for us as a family with a child with learning difficulties. This is huge and not something that you can find in a lot of places!

Kids Nursery is a God-send and a blessing to our community, and we remain ever grateful that we have such a brilliant service with amazing staff.
