About Steven
Steven has worked as a volunteer since 1987 in the field of children with special needs. He campaigns tirelessly for better services and more resources in order to deliver nothing less than world class services to children and families with special needs.
Following his personal experience of respite care and fund raising for the Wessex Children’s Hospice, he collaborated with Hampshire County Council to establish a charity dedicated to a unique and new child centric service which provides care wherever it was needed – at home, in a hospital or even on holiday. In 2017 the charity merged with Kids to continue the journey.
In his personal life, Steven has worked at Lockheed Martin, IBM and Oracle selling amazing technology that makes the world a better place. At Lockheed Martin he was responsible for transitioning military systems to commercial applications and in recent years he has focused on renewable energy and technology which helps keep the UK national grid operational. Following a period at Centrica, he has started a new business venture which will deploy renewable energy, including hydrogen systems, to replace the fossil fuel based economies of small island developing states (SIDS). The company also grow biofuels to meet the demand created by major transport systems moving away from fossil fuel engines.
